Site Mapping and Survey Ongoing for the Six Unit Classroom block at Mpoase Methodist, Dansoman last stop

Site mapping and survey works are currently ongoing at the Mpoase Methodist School as part of preparations for the construction of a new Six (6) Unit classroom block in the premises of the Mpoase Methodist school.

The contract for the project was recently awarded, leading to the sod-cutting ceremony. Consequently, arrangements are underway to ensure the immediate commencement of construction, following the demolition of existing structures and the performance of all required customary rites.

The contractor has assured residents and stakeholders that all necessary measures will be put in place to deliver a solid and durable structure that will serve the educational needs of the Ablekuma West Municipality.

The Member of Parliament and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) are closely monitoring developments to ensure the project commences as planned and is completed on schedule for the benefit of the municipality.

Hon Goerge E K Allotey (MCE) Visits the Gbebu Premix Fuel Committee at their fuel dispensary point

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ablekuma West, Hon. George Kpakpo Allotey, has paid a working visit to the Gbebu Premix Fuel Committee at their dispensing point to assess ongoing operations.

The visit was aimed at reviewing how the committee’s work is progressing and ascertaining the effectiveness of premix fuel distribution so far. The MCE interacted with committee members and observed the operational processes at the site.

He encouraged the committee to continue serving fisherfolk and other customers diligently, emphasizing the need for fairness, transparency, and efficient service delivery in the distribution of premix fuel.

News Brief: MCE Inspects Ongoing Dredging Works at Shiabu

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ablekuma West, Hon. George Kpakpo Allotey, has visited the Shiabu dredging site to inspect ongoing works on the main gutter.

During the visit, the MCE commended the team on site for the progress made and the quality of work done so far. He noted that the exercise is critical to improving drainage and sanitation in the area.

He was accompanied by the Municipal Roads Engineers, the Deputy NADMO Director, and the Municipal Security Team.

The scope of work involves dredging the Shiabu main gutter, which has increasingly become a refuse dumping site, in order to restore free water flow and reduce sanitation and flooding challenges within the community.

DREDGING WORK AT SHIABU

The Ablekuma West Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Hon. Rev. Kweku Addo, has commenced dredging works at Shiabu to clear heavily choked main gutters and improve sanitation.

The exercise involves removing silt and waste from the main drain to restore free water flow, reduce flooding, and enhance environmental cleanliness. The intervention forms part of ongoing municipal sanitation and drainage improvement efforts.

Residents have welcomed the initiative and have been encouraged to avoid indiscriminate waste disposal to sustain the gains of the project.
