A high-level closed-door meeting was held today at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, bringing together the Mayor of Accra, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ablekuma West, Hon. George Kpakpo Allotey, and a team of consultants working on the Dansoman Emergency Coastal protection project Phase 2.
The meeting focused on strategies to accelerate the much-anticipated sea defence project along the coastal belt, stretching from Ablekuma West toAblekuma South. The ambitious project also seeks to introduce socio-economic amenities like cold stores, fish markets, clinics, solid waste collecting centers, sanitory rooms, shops and car parks that will bring lasting benefits to residents and businesses across the coastal stretch.
With the MCE of Ablekuma West leading the charge, stakeholders expressed optimism about the bold transformation set to reshape the coastal line.
