NYA PARTNERS NGO TO TRAIN YOUTH
A one-day workshop was held by the Ablekuma West - National Youth Authority Secretariat in collaboration with the youth empowerment-focused NGO, Foundation for Generational Thinkers to educate some 60 young apprentices and informal workers about the value of providing quality customer service.
The workshop, which was conducted at the Ablekuma West Municipal Assembly Hall on November 6, 2022, has as its theme "Defining workforce with values and integrity." This workshop's goal was to provide tools and instruction on the value of providing excellent customer service as well as training young informal workers and their apprentices in these skills.
A presentation on the value of customer service in day-to-day business operations was given by a representative of Enterprise Insurance. He emphasized the importance of customer service and how young apprentices should prioritize it in order to grow their businesses when they eventually become madams or masters of their trade.
Young informal workers and apprentices were challenged by Mr. Prosper Dan Afetsi, president of the Foundation for Generational Thinkers, to adopt good values and integrity.He stated that
"Values and Integrity are what will determine success in life and business."
Therefore, in order for them to succeed, they must follow the processes and principles by improving themselves, making plans, creating goals, and having a distinct vision and target for the career they are now pursuing.
Mr. Afetsi also gave the audience the advice to practice self-control in all endeavors and to pay close attention to the plan they had in place for building a prosperous business.
