The Green Ghana Planting which was launched nationwide some years back aimed at addressing Ghana’s reforestation challenge to save its depleting forest reserves as well as ensure climate change adaptation has been observe this year by the Ablekuma west Municipal Assembly today 07/06/2024 at the Christ Apostolic Church Gbegbeise.

In the early hours of Monday, 4th July, residents of Opetekwei, a community in the Ablekuma West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, woke up to a devastating flood that submerged their homes and properties. The flood, which was caused by heavy rainfall, left many families homeless and in dire need of help.
The Ablekuma West Municipal Assembly on Friday June 10, 2022 embarked on the second edition of the Annual Green Ghana project to plant trees across the Municipality.
